Well we had some nice rains but still need more. I’m thankful for what we got. We are alright Mom isn’t feeling too good today but is ok.
So on to the munching of of that large black bird. After I published the last blog I checked the Air con. More water than usual was standing in it, about 1/16 inch below the wires. All the wires were growing mold. I always knew it sat on the ground, no pad, but now the bottom was all but rusted out. now we not only ran the risk of being without air conditioning for a while but also of having a fire. I did what any redblooded tight wad would do. When the service man came i told him to put in a new one. 3 1/2 horse power and several whatevers per kiliwat. (wpk). He gave me a price and I countered with one unreasonably lower. We had a meeting of the minds somewhere near the middle with an excellent pay plan. A little wine to go with the crow. The company sent us a box of Otis Spunkmeyer cookies by mail a few days later. With my going in and out I sometimes turn it off then back on again an hour or so before Linda comes home. I noticed the air was a little colder than it used to be. I commented that we maby should trade it in for a smaller one. Linda didn’t think that would work since they had already sent the cookies and everything.
I haven’t done too much with the garden yet. I have some flowers an two, his & hers, tomatoe plants. Hers is the little sweet 100s she likes and mine is Roma. I will do more though. Our roses are looking pretty good.
That is all today. Y’all come on by the Cafe
Love the taste of cookies more than the taste of crow.
Did you get one of those pre-poured concrete pads? I’m glad to know that you won’t be sweltering in the heat this summer.
I think its safe to say that dad never swelters in the heat. It is a very nice air conditioner though.
